Hey, In this article I am going to tell you about a very cool new feature in Samsung phones. If you are Samsung user this article is very important for you. Today we are talking about Phone Visibility option. I have watched this option only in Samsung phones yet. Without wasting your time let talk about it –
What is Phone Visibility option?
Phone Visibility is the very cool feature which allow you to transfer files from your phone to another’s phone.
Unfortunately I have seen this option only in the devices which is the device of Samsung. I haven’t seen it in oppo, vivo, Redmi and Realme. Therefore this is the plus point for Samsung users.
As you know, Indian Government have banned some apps. There are many file transferring apps are included in banned apps list. To do file transfer from one phone to another phone become little bit difficult. Because you don’t get satisfaction from third party apps.
Now a days Samsung has kicked this setting from their devices. But they have added the new feature which works same as Device Visibility. The name of that feature is Nearby Device Scanning.
How to On/Off Phone Visibility option?
If you have two Samsung devices, you don’t need to download third party app to send or receive data.
Step 1 – Open your device Setting.
Step 2 – Go to Connections >> Phone visibility.
There is also shortcut for this feature –
Step 1 – Pull the notification bar down.
Step 2 – Tap on three dot’s button.
Step 3 – Now tap on “Button Order”.
Step 4 – You will find “Phone Visibility” button there.
Step 5 – Tap on that button to enable/disable it.
When someone also on his visibility, it will catch by your device. To transfer files to this phone from another Samsung device, tap share in any app, then select Send to device or Transfer files to device.
Alternative Data sharing features and App
Don’t worry if you are non Samsung users. I have a very good sharing feature for you –
The name of that feature is Nearby Share. Plus point of this feature is this is available in all devices. This is little bit difficult to use but whatever you don’t need to download third party app to share files to others. Let start how to use it for sharing files –
Step 1 – Long press on file which you have to share.
Step 2 – Tap on “Share” button and then click on Nearby Share as shown in the image.
Step 3 – You can see “Turn on” click on it.
Step 4 – Now it will ask you to turn on Bluetooth, Device Location and Wi-fi. If there are any problem to auto turn on any option in these three options, you have to turn on it manually. After that again click on “Turn on” button.
Now you all set and your device is searching for nearby devices.
You need to keep turned on Bluetooth, Device Location and Wi-fi in both devices. By mistake you haven’t turned on any one of them, the sender device can’t find your device. Therefore make sure you have turned Bluetooth, Device location and Wi-fi in both devices.
Step 5 – Receiver device will get message on it’s notification bar click on it.
Step 6 – Now receiver device id will appear in sender device click on it.
Step 7 – In receiver device Accept the file sharing.
Here you can see your file is transferring successfully.
As you know Google have many their products over 100. The Google files is one of the best Google products. It is getting in use as file manager. In the mobile devices which are produced after 2020 there is inbuild Google files as the main file manager. We glad with the sharing option in it. It’s file sharing speed is unbelievable.
